About VR Project

It is a VR game prototype currently in development at Black Forest Games. It is being worked on mainly by one Programmer. The goal of this prototype is to try out and assess the possibilities this new technology provides, this way the company is prepared to work on such projects if any possibility comes up.

My responsibilities for this Project are:
  - Creation of the greybox assets.
  - Design, test and evaluate gameplay features relevant to VR.

About Microminds

Microminds is a hybrid game between a mobile and a board game done for Ravensburger. To be able to play it you need both the board and the app. You scan sections of the board combining different game cards to modulate the minigame linked to the board section. You can get the app for Android and IOs and also additional information about the game on the games homepage.

My responsibilities for this Project were quite minimal:
  - Support of the Art team during the asset production.

All images were created for promotional use.


About Rheinmetall Defence DXI

DXI is a Military Simulation Software developed by Rheinmetall Defence. Black Forest Games were asked to support the project by developing certain modules and assets. Modules included the recreation of a small German town (though it didn't have to have the exact buildings, only the streets needed to be at the same place) and a system that generates the placement of vegetation proceduraly based on parameters and textures.

My responsibilities for this Project were:
  - Modelling and Texturing of various assets.
  - Taking photographs of environments that were used for the asset production.
  - Support of the Art team during the asset production.
  - Dressing (placing objects and lighting) of a small area showing the final quality.
  - Design and Implementation of the vegetation system on the art side.

About Blessed

Blessed is an action RPG set in a remote secluded Transilvanian area in a world where Vampires and Warewolfs exist. The Idea was initially developed and pitched in 2012 by Spellbound right before it was shutdown. To convey the setting a small prototype was developed using mostly Arcania assets plus some speciffic assets that were needed to show more of the world that it is supposed to take place in.

My responsibilities for the Prototype were:
  - Modelling and Texturing of various assets.
  - Support of the Art team during the asset production.
  - Created the Camera script so 3ds Max could be used as a cutscene editor at least for the camera.

All assets have been slightly modified and adjusted so they can be rendered correctly with pbr shading. These assets have been rendered in Unreal Engine 4 with custom shaders.

About

The Project was a work for hire for s Publisher with the Publisher Producer driving the project forward. Eventually after the Vertical Slice the project was discontinued due to the direction it had taken and the results of the Vertical Slice were not convincing for both Spelllbound and the Publisher.

My responsibilities for the Project were:
  - Modelling and Texturing of various assets.
  - Taking photographs of environments that were used for the asset production.
  - Support of the Art team during the asset production.
  - Creation of environment animations
  - Dressing (placing objects and lighting) of the several areas of the game.
  - Outsourcing management, reviewing the created assets and providing feedback to our Outsourcing partners.

About Ravensdale

Ravensdale is an action RPG set in a Steam punk universe. The game was in development since 2006 with a lot of interruptions, initially stared by Spellbound and later taken over by Black Forest Games. Currently there is a Prototype of the game. To introduce the whole universe it was decided to create as "small" game which was release in Match 2016 called RougeStormers.
There are still plans to develop the complete game, though funding still needs to be secured first.

My responsibilities for the current Prototype were:
  - Modelling and Texturing of various assets.
  - Maintenance of the games Visibility System using proprietary tool.
  - Maintenance of the games Navigation System using proprietary tools.
